Summary:A contactless battery system (Fig. 1) comprises: a sealable housing (102); a battery cell (101) disposed within the sealable housing; and at least one wireless power transfer coupler (103, 105) connected to the battery cell and disposed within the sealable housing. The battery cell comprises an arrangement of battery cells (209) connected in series in a fixed number of battery cell groups to deliver a set voltage and current. A wireless power transfer coupler is disposed relative to at least one face of the sealable housing to enable magnetic induction signal transmission for charging, discharging, and communicating with the battery cells. A battery management controller (216) is in bidirectional communication with the contactless battery system and the electrical equipment to control charging. A distribution system manages the distribution of contactless battery systems to a plurality of warehouses adapted to store, charge, or exchange depleted contactless battery systems under the control of at least one ma
