The present invention provides a composition comprising the reaction product of the following (a) and (b): (a) a maleated natural oil, including a natural oil having a maleated functional group; and (b) a functionalized or unfunctionalized moiety selected from the group consisting of hydrophobic moieties, hydrophilic moieties, and combinations thereof; with the proviso that the hydrophilic moiety is not a glycerol moiety. In another aspect of the invention, the present invention provides a composition comprising the reaction product of the following (a)-(c): (a) maleated natural oils, including natural oils having maleated functional groups; (b) a functionalized hydrophobic moiety or an unfunctionalized hydrophobic moiety; and (c) a glycerol moiety. In yet another aspect, the present application provides a composition comprising the reaction product of the following (a) and (b): (a) a maleated natural oil, including a natural oil having a maleated functional group; (b) two functionalized hydrophilic moieties
