The invention provides a method and a device for starting a virtual application. The method comprises the following steps: sending a use request of a target virtual application to a management platform; receiving first connection information of the application server sent by the management platform; determining whether a pre-start session corresponding to the first connection information exists or not; if the pre-starting session corresponding to the first connection information exists, sending a starting request of the target virtual application to an application server through the pre-starting session; and receiving interface data of the target virtual application sent by the application server through the pre-starting session. 本说明书提供一种启动虚拟应用的方法及装置。所述方法包括：向管理平台发送目标虚拟应用的使用请求；接收管理平台发送的应用服务器的第一连接信息；确定是否存在与第一连接信息对应的预启动会话；如果存在与第一连接信息对应的预启动会话，则通过预启动会话向应用服务器发送目标虚拟应用的启动请求；通过预启动会话接收应用服务器发送的目标虚拟应用的界面数据。
