Summary:The motor drive device (10) includes: a series circuit of a Zener diode (104) and a detection resistor (105) connected between a gate terminal of a first high-side transistor (11) and ground; a comparator (106) that compares the voltage of the detection resistor (105) with a reference voltage (Vr); a first drive transistor (102) that short-circuits the gate-source terminal of the first high-side transistor (11) in accordance with the detection signal output by the comparator (106); a control circuit (5); and an OR circuit (108) that turns the first drive transistor (102) on regardless of a drive signal from the control circuit (5).
