Summary: | A motor control device for controlling the driving of an AC motor that is driven by AC power by being connected to a power converter that performs power conversion from DC power to AC power, the motor control device comprising: a carrier wave generation unit that generates a carrier wave; a carrier frequency adjustment unit that adjusts the frequency of the carrier; and a PWM control unit that pulse-width modulates a voltage command corresponding to a torque command using the carrier wave, and generates a PWM pulse signal for controlling the operation of the power converter. The carrier frequency adjustment unit adjusts the frequency of the carrier such that the phase difference between the voltage command and the carrier is changed according to the magnitude of the vibration of each ring stage based on the electromagnetic excitation force generated in a ring shape in the radial direction of the AC motor.
