Summary:A motion generator is disclosed for applying force, torque and movement relative to a surface to an actuator and/or actuator payload of the motion generator wherein the actuator is operably connected to a free end of a rocker arm provided by one or more rockers, each rocker pivoting about a pivot axis, at least one rocker is driven by an associated curved linear motor, which is concentric with an arc swept by the free end of the associated rocker, and wherein the curved linear motor is driven by the actuator such that movement of the rocker about the respective pivot axis results in movement of the actuator. At least one rocker carries, includes, or contains a coil or track of an associated curved linear motor.
