The invention provides a novel thermal fabric and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: taking a polyester material as a polymer main body and CsxWo3NPs as a photothermal conversion material, carrying out melt blending extrusion to obtain a composite master batch, then preparing composite polyester fibers through a melt spinning technology, and subsequently mixing the composite polyester fibers with a certain proportion of spandex filaments through a knitting technology to weave the novel thermal fabric. The fabric not only has good light absorption and heating performance, but also solves the technical problems that a coating structure of an after-finishing textile is easy to fall off and short in service life in a manner of wrapping the inorganic nanoparticles with the organic polymer, ensures the use stability and safety of a photo-thermal conversion nanoparticle material, and is silky in hand feeling and good in heat absorption and heat generation performance.
