The invention relates to the technical field of green and environment-friendly prevention and control of agricultural diseases and insect pests, in particular to application of berberine in prevention and control of meloidogyne incognita, which comprises application of berberine in preparation of medicaments for preventing and controlling meloidogyne incognita diseases. It is found for the first time that berberine can generate a lethal effect on meloidogyne incognita in a certain concentration range and inhibit incubation of eggs of meloidogyne incognita, and the effect is remarkable. When the concentration of berberine in the solution is 1-2 mg/mL, the fatality rate of meloidogyne incognita J2s is 80% or above; when the concentration of the berberine is 0.1-0.5 mg/mL, the inhibition rate of the berberine on the egg incubation of the meloidogyne incognita is 90% or above, and the berberine shows a remarkable nematicidal activity effect. 本发明涉及农业病虫害绿色环保防治技术领域，更具体地说，它涉及小檗碱在防治南方根结线虫中的应用，其包括将小檗碱用于制备防治南方根结线虫病害的药剂。
