Summary:The invention provides a firmware upgrading method and device, and relates to the technical field of equipment upgrade.The method comprises the steps that under the condition that firmware upgrading of a target firmware hard disk fails, bridge equipment information and a bus number reported by the target firmware hard disk are received; acquiring a serial port log of the target firmware hard disk according to the bridge equipment information and the bus number; analyzing the serial port log to obtain a hard disk state of the target firmware hard disk; and based on the hard disk state, performing firmware upgrading on the target firmware hard disk again. According to the method, the target firmware hard disk failed in upgrading can be accurately identified, the operation of upgrading all the firmware hard disks again is avoided, the disaster tolerance efficiency of upgrading the firmware hard disks on a large scale is improved, log collection and analysis management on the disk failed in upgrading are enhanced
