Summary: | This document describes techniques and systems for implementing planar surface features for antenna coverage. A structure is configured to provide a feed network for propagating electromagnetic energy along an energy path formed below a planar surface. The planar surface includes a concave cavity having a wall surrounding a cavity floor embedded within the planar surface. The cavity floor is shaped to form radiation slot (s) that open through the structure and to an energy path below the planar surface. The ridge feature protrudes from the planar surface on either side of the concave cavity having a ridge length parallel to the cavity wall and a ridge height arranged to prevent cross-interference within the cavity floor near the radiating slots, thereby narrowing the coverage of electromagnetic energy within the feed network.
