The invention provides a method and a system for monitoring the growth state of agaricus bisporus. The method comprises the following steps: constructing a growth state monitoring experience library for agaricus bisporus; the growth state monitoring experience library comprises multiple groups of first growth information and monitoring experience in one-to-one correspondence; acquiring second growth information of agaricus bisporus in the target planting area; matching the second growth information with any first growth information to obtain a first matching degree, and taking the monitoring experience corresponding to the first growth information with the maximum first matching degree as a target monitoring experience; acquiring a growth image of the agaricus bisporus; and monitoring the growth state of the agaricus bisporus based on the growth image and the target monitoring experience.
