Summary: | The invention relates to a battery pack as an energy source for an electrical consumer, the battery pack (1) having a closed housing (2) with an inner receiving space (3) for a plurality of individual cells (4). A housing (2) of the battery pack (1) has a general basic shape with a first and a second side wall (5, 6), at least the side walls (5, 6) of the housing (2) being made of a thermally conductive material, and inner surfaces (7, 8) of the side walls (5, 6) delimiting a receiving space (3). In order to provide a thermally balanced battery pack, a cell connection structure (19) consisting of a plurality of individual cells (4) is received in the receiving space (3), the individual cells (4) having a flat side (10) and an edge side (11).
