Provided herein, inter alia, are methods of improving animal health, such as intestinal health, and performance, and reducing methane emissions via administration of an effective amount of a glycoside hydrolase enzyme capable of removing at least one alpha-1, 2-L-fucose moiety from the intestinal mucoprotein layer.
