Summary: | The invention discloses a novel device and method for measuring the loosening height of a bolt of a power transmission tower. The method comprises the following steps: assembling a measuring device through a covering shell, a shadow area measuring device and a laser range finder; buckling a target bolt by the measuring device; starting the laser range finder, selecting a range finding function, and obtaining the distance from the laser range finder to the target bolt; selecting an illumination function of the laser range finder, and obtaining a projection area; and calculating the loosening height of the target bolt according to a similarity theory series mathematical equation. The power transmission line inspection efficiency is improved, and safe and stable operation of power transmission is guaranteed.
