The invention provides a preparation method of a catalyst for synthesizing methanol from carbon dioxide, which comprises the following steps: preparing a mixed solution of metal copper salt, metal zinc salt, metal magnesium salt and metal cerium salt, then adding cane sugar and zeolite powder, and uniformly stirring to obtain a mixture; introducing inert gas, stirring, and dropwise adding a sodium carbonate solution into the mixture for precipitation; after dropwise adding, continuously introducing inert gas for a period of time; and filtering, collecting a filter cake, washing, molding, roasting in an air-isolated manner, and performing hydrogen reduction to obtain the catalyst for synthesizing methanol from carbon dioxide.
