Summary:The synthesis method comprises the following steps: firstly, carrying out a simple solvothermal reaction, taking copper nitrate trihydrate as a metal salt, 1, 3, 5-trimesic acid as an organic ligand and benzimidazole as a regulator, carrying out a reaction in a mixed solution of ethanol and N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) at 90 DEG C for 6 hours, after the reaction is finished, centrifugally collecting a product, and drying to obtain the CuS-coated HKUST-1 hollow cubic octahedron photocatalyst. Washing and drying to obtain an HKUST-1 precursor with a cubic octahedral structure; the preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly dispersing an HKUST-1 precursor in a mixed solution of ethanol dissolved with thiourea and DMF (Dimethyl Formamide), then transferring into an autoclave with a polytetrafluoroethylene lining, heating at 100 DEG C for 6 hours, after the reaction is finished, centrifugally collecting a product, cleaning and drying to obtain the CuS-coated HKUST-1 hollow cubic octahedron photoca
