Summary:A method and system for recovering the recovery component carbon dioxide is provided that can reduce the carbon footprint and global warming potential of a chemical recovery facility. More particularly, pyrolysis flue gas and/or pyrolysis gas from pyrolysis of waste plastic may be processed in an absorption system to form a recovered CO2 stream comprising the recovered component carbon dioxide.
