The invention provides a real-time moving target detection method and device for an imaging seeker. The method comprises the following steps: aligning an image at a previous moment with an image at a current moment; extracting a change region in the image at the current moment, performing foreground and background classification on the change region to generate a foreground region, and screening foreground connected regions conforming to target characteristics to obtain candidate targets; and estimating the motion trails of the candidate targets in the continuous multi-frame images, performing confidence evaluation and sorting on the motion trails, and selecting the target of which the confidence meets a preset condition as a final motion target detection result.
