Summary:An internal combustion engine system is described herein. The system uses a switching rail in combination with a first fuel rail to operate an internal combustion engine. The first fuel rail receives a first fuel for combustion within one or more combustion cylinders of an internal combustion engine. A controller is used to operate the switching valve that routes or directs the second fuel or the first fuel from its respective fuel tank depending on a position of the switching valve.
