Summary: | The invention provides a method for preparing spherical titanium powder, which comprises the following steps of: placing sponge titanium in molten salt, and introducing TiCl4 to react with the sponge titanium to prepare low-valence titanium salt; low-valence titanium salt is placed in a reactor, argon is introduced for protection, a direct-current power source is connected for electrolysis after the low-valence titanium salt is heated and melted, and a cathode product containing titanium powder is obtained on a cathode after electrolysis is completed; the cathode product containing the titanium powder is crushed into fine-particle materials with the particle size not larger than 10 mm, fused salt in the fine-particle materials is washed away through a diluted hydrochloric acid solution and deionized water, vacuum drying is conducted, and irregular titanium powder is obtained; and carrying out plasma spheroidization on the irregular titanium powder, washing with alcohol, and finally carrying out vacuum drying |
