The invention relates to the field of sewage treatment, in particular to a method for treating VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) in sewage. The method comprises the following steps: adding an active microbial agent into target sewage for aeration treatment by adopting a special microbiological degradation method; the active microbial agent is prepared by the following method: (1) mixing aromatic acid and inorganic salt in water, adjusting the pH value to weak acidity, stirring and reacting to obtain a pre-carrier, mixing the prepared pre-carrier and an organic metal compound, placing in a salt solution, stirring and reacting, filtering, washing and drying to obtain a carrier; and (2) mixing the microbial capsule and the carrier in water, and carrying out aeration treatment under an illumination condition to obtain the active microbial agent.
