The method comprises the following steps: pretreating a nylon sample of an MCA flame retardant; determining the MCA flame retardant in the nylon sample: adding oxygen into an oxygen-nitrogen analyzer, feeding the nylon sample of the powdery MCA flame retardant into the oxygen-nitrogen analyzer, introducing helium into the oxygen-nitrogen analyzer, enabling the sample to fall into a combustion tube in a heating furnace for combustion, introducing gas generated by combustion into a reduction tube for reduction, and enabling gas discharged from the reduction tube to enter an adsorption column for separation, and the separated gas enters a TCD detector to be detected.
