One embodiment provides a computing device for performing machine learning operations, the computing device comprising: instruction decode logic to decode a single instruction comprising a plurality of operands into a single decoded instruction, the plurality of operands having different precisions; and a generic graphics computing unit including a first logic unit and a second logic unit, the generic graphics computing unit to execute the single decoded instruction, where executing the single decoded instruction includes performing a first instruction operation on a first set of operands of the plurality of operands at a first precision, and performing a second instruction operation on a second set of operands of the plurality of operands at a second precision.
