Summary: | The invention belongs to the field of rice breeding, and particularly relates to application of a low-temperature sensitive type rice zebra leaf gene OsLSZ1 in regulation and control of rice leaf color, and the genome sequence of the low-temperature sensitive type rice zebra leaf gene OsLSZ1 is shown as SEQ ID NO.1. According to the invention, the OsLSZ1 gene is cloned from a rice zebra leaf mutant oslsz1 through map-based cloning. A genetic complementary expression vector is constructed and introduced into the mutant oslsz1, and the transgenic offspring shows a normal leaf color, thereby confirming that the zebra leaf symptom in the seedling stage of the mutant oslsz1 is caused by single base substitution of the OsLSZ1 gene, and indicating that the OsLSZ1 gene can control early development of chloroplast of rice leaves.
