Summary: | The invention discloses a high-water-solubility cationic cyclodextrin derivative as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The cationic cyclodextrin derivative takes amino acid as a linking group to link alpha/gamma-cyclodextrin and a water-soluble cationic group. The cationic cyclodextrin derivative is synthesized by the following steps: firstly, taking alpha/gamma-cyclodextrin as a starting raw material, and preparing alpha/gamma-cyclodextrin sulfonate by adopting sulfonyl chloride; then, carrying out nucleophilic reaction on the sulfonate-alpha/gamma-cyclodextrin and amino groups or hydroxyl groups on amino acid to prepare amino acid-cyclodextrin; and finally, carrying out ring-opening reaction on the epoxypropyl cationic compound and residual amino groups or hydroxyl groups on amino acid to obtain the water-soluble cationic cyclodextrin derivative.
