The invention discloses a method and device for controlling an automatic lifting system and a controller. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a corner of a container; determining a target corner change rate according to the corner; the operation stage of the container is determined according to the corner; under the condition that it is determined that the container is in the lifting stage, the target rotation angle change rate is corrected according to the motor torque change rate of the main drive motor, so that the corrected target rotation angle change rate is obtained; under the condition that it is determined that the container is in the descending stage, the target rotation angle change rate is corrected according to the actual rotation angle change rate, so that the corrected target rotation angle change rate is obtained; and the speed of the automatic lifting system is controlled according to the corrected target rotation angle change rate. The speed of the automatic lifting system is control
