The strain or the microbial agent disclosed by the invention not only can effectively degrade cyanophenyl herbicides such as bromoxynil and bromoxynil octanoate, but also can further degrade intermediate metabolites of the cyanophenyl herbicides, such as 3, 5-dibromo-4-hydroxybenzoic acid and 3-bromo-4-hydroxybenzoic acid. According to the present invention, the bacterial strain can completely degrade 30 ppm of bromoxynil within 36 h, and can completely degrade 30 ppm of 3, 5-dibromo-4-hydroxybenzoic acid generated by bromoxynil degradation within 48 h; in addition, the microbial agent disclosed by the invention also has a growth promoting effect and can promote the growth of rice and wheat planted on the yellow brown soil.
