The invention relates to a heating control method of an aerosol generating device and the aerosol generating device, and the method is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps: initial detection: detecting a capacitance value of an aerosol generating product, and defining the capacitance value as a capacitance detection value; whether the capacitance detection value C is within a standard capacitance range or not is judged, and if yes, heating is conducted within preset heating time; if the capacitance detection value C is smaller than the standard capacitance range, reducing the heating time relative to the preset heating time; and if the capacitance detection value C is greater than the standard capacitance range, increasing the heating time relative to the preset heating time. According to the invention, the capacitance detection value C is used as the basis of the change of the properties of the aerosol generating product, whether the state of the aerosol generating product is abnorm
