The invention relates to a novel selenium-rich compound with high antioxidant activity as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The novel selenium-rich compound is prepared by connecting a selenol group with strong reducibility with acetone through an aldolization reaction. The prepared novel selenium-rich compound has the characteristics of high antioxidant activity, high storage stability and multiple chemical reaction active sites. Through test comparison, the oxidation resistance of the compound is improved by 20% compared with that of various commercially available compounds, meanwhile, degradation products of the compound can further participate in construction of oxidation/reduction balance of organisms, and the compound is non-toxic and harmless and is expected to be widely applied to construction of responsive intelligent materials under physiological conditions.
