Summary: | A method and system for manufacturing a cast iron crankshaft of a vehicle is provided. The system comprises a forming unit arranged to form a negative sand casting mold of a cast iron crankshaft. The mold includes at least one molding cavity, the pattern of which has the size of a cast iron crankshaft. The system also includes a feed mechanism including a riser having a connector through which the molten metal material flows to the casting mold. The feed mechanism feeds the molten metal material into at least one mold cavity at a riser connection angle. The riser connection angle corresponds to the modulus of the connector. The modulus of the connector is 20% larger than that of a casting. The riser geometry corresponds to a riser modulus. The modulus of the riser is 20% larger than that of the connector. The system also includes a stove, a cooling zone, a separation unit, a controller, and a power source.
