Summary:A transducer array for applying an alternating electric field (e.g., a tumor treatment field, also referred to as TTField) to a body of a subject generally includes a plurality of capacitively coupled electrode elements. Typically, certain electrode elements on a given array tend to operate more hotter than other electrode elements. For example, in many anatomical contexts, the corner elements of the transducer array are often hotter than non-corner elements. By connecting capacitors in series with those electrode elements (e.g., corner elements) that often operate more hotter, the difference in operating temperature between the electrode elements that often operate more hotter and other electrode elements can be reduced.
