Summary: | The present invention provides a method of eliciting an enhanced immune response in a subject against Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) using three incremental doses of a vaccine. The first dose is administered in an amount of 10% to 25% of the total intensity dose of the vaccine. The second dose is used in an amount of 45% to 55% of the total intensity dose of the vaccine 3 to 21 days after the first dose. The final dose is administered in an amount of 100% of the total intensity dose of the vaccine 3 to 21 days after the second dose. The vaccine regimen of the present invention induces the immune response as strong or stronger, and/or for a same length or longer, as compared to a vaccine regimen comprising two or three total intensity doses of the vaccine. In one embodiment, the vaccine is an inactivated viral vaccine. In one embodiment, the vaccine is an mRNA vaccine.
