The invention discloses a core rod full life cycle management system and management method for steel pipe production, and the system comprises an RFID sensor which is installed at a core rod clamping section; the first RFID reader-writer is installed in a core rod preparation area and used for writing identity information corresponding to the core rod into the RFID sensor when the RFID sensor is detected; the second RFID reader-writer is arranged in the core rod storage area and is used for reading identity information of the RFID sensor on the core rod which is stored and taken out and sending the identity information to the core rod information management system; the third RFID reader-writer is arranged at a core rod conveying roller way of the steel pipe production line and is used for reading the identity information of the RFID sensor on the core rod and sending the identity information to the core rod information management system; and the core rod information management system stores a core rod product
