Summary: | The present invention relates to a synergistic pharmacological anti-biofilm combination of colistin and fosfomycin for use in the treatment of bacterial infections caused by biofilm-forming pathogens selected from the group consisting of Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Klebsiella pneumoniae strains, preferably in the biofilm growth phase, the present invention relates to the treatment of respiratory diseases, in particular infections associated with respiratory diseases, such as chronic respiratory diseases including CF, NCFB and COPD, especially in hospitalized patients.
