The invention discloses a winding type three-electrode battery and a preparation and test method thereof, the battery comprises: a housing having a cavity filled with an electrolyte; the simulation inner core is a cylindrical body formed by spirally winding a strip-shaped electric insulation sheet layer by layer; the winding type battery cell comprises a first electrode plate, a first diaphragm, a second diaphragm and a second electrode plate which are sequentially overlapped and are spirally wound on the outer surface of the simulated inner core by taking the central axis direction of the simulated inner core as a winding axis, and the polarities of the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate are opposite; a first tab is arranged on the first electrode plate, and a second tab is arranged on the second electrode plate; a reference electrode is arranged between the electrically insulated first diaphragm and the electrically insulated second diaphragm; and the winding tail end of the reference elec
