Summary: | The present invention relates to an in vitro or ex vivo method of delivering a load into a cell, the method comprising: contacting the cell with one or more photoresponsive organic particles and a load, where the load is not bound to the one or more photoresponsive organic particles, and where the load is not bound to the one or more photoresponsive organic particles, and where the load is not bound to the one or more photoresponsive organic particles. The organic particles are selected from the group consisting of polymer-based particles, protein-based particles, lipid-based particles, and combinations thereof, thereby obtaining a mixture of cells, a load, and one or more photoresponsive organic particles; the mixture of the cells, the load, and the one or more photoresponsive organic particles are irradiated with electromagnetic radiation, thereby causing permeabilization of the cell barrier and delivering the load into the cells. The invention also relates to the use of one or more photoresponsive organic |
