The method comprises the steps that the compressor operation frequency, the outer pipe temperature, the high pressure and the exhaust temperature in the air conditioner are detected; according to the running frequency of the compressor, the temperature of the outer pipe, the high pressure and the exhaust temperature, whether preset adjusting conditions of an electronic expansion valve in the air conditioner are met or not is judged; if the preset adjusting condition is met, the expansion valve opening degree is calculated and updated according to the actual expansion valve opening degree of the electronic expansion valve; and the electronic expansion valve is controlled to operate according to the updated opening degree of the expansion valve, and the actual operation frequency of a compressor in the air conditioner is increased.
