Summary: | The purpose of the present invention is to provide an Fe-based amorphous alloy and an Fe-based amorphous alloy ribbon which have excellent soft magnetic properties and which have low iron loss and high saturation magnetic flux density. The Fe-based amorphous alloy having excellent soft magnetic properties according to the present invention is characterized by containing, in atomic%, 8.0% to 18.0% (inclusive) of B, 2.0% to 9.0% (inclusive) of Si, 0.10% to 5.00% (inclusive) of C, 0.005% to 1.50% (inclusive) of Al, 0% to less than 1.00% of P, 0% to 0.30% (inclusive) of Mn, and 78.00% to 86.00% (inclusive) of Fe, with the remainder being impurities, and by having an amorphous structure.
