The preparation method comprises the following steps: by taking a cotton fabric as a base material, firstly, carrying out self-polymerization on polydopamine on the surface of a cotton fiber to prepare a polydopamine modified cotton fabric; and finishing the silver nanoparticles onto the surface of the polydopamine modified cotton fabric through an in-situ reduction method to prepare the dual-mode heating cotton fabric with photothermal conversion and Joule heating properties. According to the method, polydopamine not only can reduce silver ions into silver nanoparticles, but also has a good bonding effect.
