Summary:A system and method for measuring dynamic properties of a structure and for assessing dynamic performance of a structure using the measured dynamic properties. The system and method may separate the measurement response into low amplitude data and high amplitude data to reduce the effects of mass and external forces. The system and method measures dynamic properties of the structure, such as resonant frequency, mode vibration mode, and non-linear damping, and uses them for structural analysis to compare the dynamic response of the structure to expected properties of the structure built according to applicable building specification requirements.
