Summary: | The invention relates to a defect-containing monatomic electrocatalyst and application thereof, and the defect-containing monatomic electrocatalyst is prepared by the following steps: 1, dissolving an organic salt of zinc and a transition metal compound in deionized water to form a homogeneous solution; the transition metal is selected from one of Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn; 2, adding dimethylimidazole into the homogeneous solution under an ultrasonic condition; 3, dropwise adding the ammonia water solution into the mixed solution, and stirring at room temperature to obtain a sample; 4, centrifuging and washing the sample for multiple times, and performing vacuum drying to obtain solid powder; and 5, putting the solid powder in a closed state, introducing inert gas, and calcining in an inert atmosphere by a programmed heating method to obtain the defect-containing monatomic electrocatalyst.
