Summary:The invention discloses ultra-low carbon steel with high filament drawing capacity and a production method of the ultra-low carbon steel. The ultra-low carbon steel comprises the following chemical components in percentage by mass: less than or equal to 0.010% of C, less than or equal to 0.010% of Si, less than or equal to 0.04% of Mn, less than or equal to 0.015% of P, less than or equal to 0.0040% of S, less than or equal to 0.0010% of Al, 0.0180-0.0300% of total oxygen and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities. According to the ultra-low carbon steel, the total oxygen content in steel is controlled, a large amount of FeO is generated in the steel, FeO is combined with high-melting-point oxides of Si, Mn and Al to form low-melting-point eutecticum, inclusions in the steel are sphere-like inclusions, and therefore the thin wire drawing capacity of the steel is effectively improved; by controlling the S content, it is avoided that low-melting-point sulfide is generated to affect the steel surface qualit
