Summary: | The present invention addresses the problem of providing a heat-sensitive recording medium having excellent high-speed printability, oil resistance, plasticizer resistance, printability, and the like, among the various properties required for the heat-sensitive recording medium. A heat-sensitive recording material in which an undercoat layer is provided on a support, a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-accepting developer is provided on the undercoat layer, the heat-sensitive recording layer containing a urea compound represented by general formula (1) as the electron-accepting developer, and the undercoat layer containing a urea compound represented by general formula (2) as the electron-accepting developer.
