A catheter pump (1) is provided with: a catheter (10); a collapsible pump head (30) comprising a pump housing which accommodates the impeller (34) inside and which is mounted to the distal end of the catheter (10), and a film (32) mounted on the pump housing; a drive shaft (50) rotatably provided inside the duct (10) and connected to the impeller (34); wherein the catheter (10) comprises: a first section (12) inside the membrane (32); a second section (14) located near the proximal end of the membrane (32) and continuous with the first section (12) towards the proximal end of the catheter; a third section (16) continuous with the second section towards the proximal end of the catheter, the stiffness of the first section being less than the stiffness of the second section, and the stiffness of the second section being less than the stiffness of the third section.
