Summary: | The invention provides medium-entropy or high-entropy carbide nano powder and a preparation method thereof.The preparation method comprises the following steps that 1, a Ta source, an Nb source, a Ti source, a Zr source and an Hf source are added into ethyl alcohol, and a mixed solution A is prepared; or adding an Hf source, a Zr source and a Ti source into ethanol to prepare a mixed solution B; 2) adding phenolic resin and furfuryl alcohol into the mixed solution A or the mixed solution B, and uniformly mixing to obtain a mixed solution C; (3) stirring the mixed solution C under a heating condition, carrying out polycondensation reaction, obtaining a cured product G after the reaction is completed, and drying the cured product; and (4) carrying out high-temperature carbonization on the dried cured product G, so as to obtain (Ta0. 2Nb0. 2Ti0. 2Zr0. 2Hf0. 2) C high-entropy powder or (HfZrTi) C medium-entropy powder.
