Summary:Provided herein is a subtilisin mutant comprising one or more of the following amino acid substitutions: S3T, N43R, N76D, P129Q, V205I, Q206L, Y209W, S259D, N261W and L262E compared to a wild type subtilisin, in which: 1) the position of the amino acid substitution corresponds to the position of the amino acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1; 2) the subtilisin mutant has protease activity; and 3) the amino acid sequence of the wild subtilisin is selected from the amino acid sequence shown as SEQ ID NO: 2 or 4. Also provided herein are detergent compositions comprising the subtilisin mutants and uses of the subtilisin mutants.
