Dynamic configuration of overlapping base set service preamble detection (OBSS/PD) parameters of an access point (AP) may be provided. First, a plurality of stations within a spatial multiplexing (SR) range of an AP may be determined. Next, if the AP performs SR transmissions given the OBSS/PD parameters currently configured for the AP, signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) calculations associated with the plurality of stations may be performed to determine an impact of the SINR on the plurality of stations.
