Summary:In a display device according to the present invention, a current compensation block calculates a load on the basis of input image data, compensates the input image data on the basis of the load, and outputs compensated image data. The data driver converts the compensated image data into a data voltage based on a gamma reference voltage and a data driving voltage, and outputs the data voltage. The current sensing block senses a driving current of the display panel and compares the driving current with a reference current to output a protection signal.
