Summary: | A process for producing a thermoplastic elastomer, comprising: providing a polyether composition comprising at least a glycol-terminated first polyether having a number average molecular weight of 400 to 6000 and up to 15% by weight of pyrogenic silicon oxide having C1-C8 alkylsilyl groups or acrylate or methacrylate groups on its surface, the polyether composition is combined with optionally a further first polyether and a) at least one dicarboxylic acid and at least one organic diol having a molecular weight of less than 250 or b) at least one dicarboxylic acid ester terminated polyamide to form a prepolymer composition, and the prepolymer composition is allowed to polymerize to form a thermoplastic elastomer.
