The invention relates to the technical field of electric vehicle sound production equipment, in particular to an active sound production method for improving sound quality. The method comprises the following steps of S1, collecting engine noise at ears of a driver when the fuel automobile runs under various working conditions; s2, preprocessing the obtained sound, extracting a noise sample by collecting engine noise at the ears of a driver when the fuel automobile runs under various working conditions, and performing noise separation on the collected sound through the noise sample; and S3, extracting the order of the noise-reduced sound sample. According to the active sound production method for improving the sound quality, sounds at different vehicle speeds can be calculated in real time by utilizing a sound synthesis algorithm based on a harmonic algorithm according to noise order characteristics of an engine under different vehicle speed working conditions, then the proportion of a certain order is adjuste
